Large-Block Garbage Shredder: Whether in residential areas or in the corners of alleys, we can see piles of large items like worn-out beds, sofas, and cabinets. How is this large garbage disposed of? Is it burned or destroyed? I'm sure many people are curious. During the interview, the reporter took a tour to learn more about how large garbage is transformed into valuables.
Large pieces of garbage, such as worn-out sofas, chairs, bed boards, and cabinets, are transported by conveyor belt to a large-block garbage shredder atop a large piece of equipment in front of the sorting center staff. The reporter saw on the machine's display that the machine contains a device called a "magnetic separator," which separates some nails while completely shredding others, which then flows out through the outlet.
From the monitoring device operated by the employee, the reporter saw that if a large or wide piece of garbage is encountered at the machine's jaws, the employee simply presses a button on the console to stop the conveyor belt. Pressing the button again causes the jaws to crush the oversized garbage. This operation is highly intelligent and prevents excessive amounts of large waste from disrupting the overall process.
The shredder's discharge port is also equipped with dust control equipment to effectively prevent dust from flying around. After the large waste is shredded, it is reduced to wood strands, blocks, and fragments of varying sizes. The time it takes for large waste to be reduced to powder, from being placed on the conveyor belt to the machine's discharge port, is over 1 minute and 20 seconds.
The waste from the shredder's discharge port is further sorted. Some solid wood chips are mixed with fermented kitchen waste to create a special feed. This feed is then sent to farms to feed black soldier flies, which in turn feed the farm's chickens. However, the less dilutable bamboo, sponges, and fabrics separated from the large amounts of shredded waste are sent to an incinerator for special treatment, where they are then burned and used to generate electricity. Ultimately, this large waste is transformed into treasure, returning to people's lives in another form.
